NOLS Backcountry Skiing
In March 2020, right before the pandemic hit I traveled out west for a NOLS trip backcountry skiing in the Grand Targhee National Forest! For the first two days we spent time at Grand Targhee Resort and the NOLS base camp in Driggs, Idaho. For the next 7 days, we were in the backcountry. The first two nights in the backcountry we spent in a yurt, and the next five we spent sleeping in snow quigloos we built.
